In a week and half there is a parenting conference that I highly recommend.
It is aimed at parents with teens or at parents who are soon to have teens. The man leading it is the father of Josh, Alex, and Brett Harris. Josh wrote several best selling books on dating that positively confronted the sloppy thinking that tended to bring grief to young dating relationships.
Alex and Brett wrote the best selling book, “Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations.” And they run the very popular teen website “The Rebelution.” Their blog is wonderfully refreshing to read.
The father of these three boys is the one speaking at the conference. You’ll discover pretty quickly that the kind of parenting in their home is what produced the kinds of sons that he has. But don’t let that discourage you. He is not an idealist. He’s refreshingly down to earth. You’ll leave the conference encouraged and motivated.
The conference starts Friday, February 12th, at 7:00pm., and ends on Saturday, February 13th, at 5:00. The cost is $55. It’s being held at the Anaheim Marriot.
